Addison Johnson

Broker, REALTOR®, Owner

Addison is the founder of TIU Real Estate LLC and Southern Gentleman Construction LLC. Growing up in Eastern North Carolina with a deep love for the outdoors and building, Addison has always enjoyed working with his hands and finding ways to make things better.

Meeting his wife, Jessica, was the second best thing that ever happened to him. The first was meeting Jesus.

Addison has worked in all levels of construction, from residential to industrial. In 2016, he wanted to get back to working one-on-one with people in their homes. What started as a small home-renovation business grew into Southern Gentleman Construction. Along the way, Addison began thinking about how he could use his experience to serve people on a higher level. That desire eventually led him to real estate.

With years of construction experience and a drive to keep learning, Addison brings a different perspective to real estate. He understands how homes are built, what goes into maintaining them, and the questions that can come with buying or selling a home. His goal is to use that experience to help people feel confident in the decisions they’re making — and to be the kind of Realtor who shows up when his clients need him, not just when there’s a contract to sign.

Outside of work, Addison enjoys spending time with Jessica and their three kids. Boating on the rivers and exploring the Crystal Coast are some of their favorite adventures. When he gets some quiet time to himself, you’ll likely find him hunting, offshore fishing, or writing — a hidden talent most people wouldn’t guess.

Jessica Johnson

Broker, REALTOR®, Marketing Manager

Jessica is the co-founder of TIU Real Estate LLC. Born and raised in New Bern, she has a deep appreciation for the history, character, and people of Eastern North Carolina. Her lifelong connection to the area gives her a genuine understanding of what makes this place home.

After graduating from East Carolina University, Jessica married Addison. In 2016, the two of them started a small home-renovation business that eventually grew into Southern Gentleman Construction LLC, where Jessica served as COO. Today, she continues to play a hands-on role behind the scenes in both businesses, overseeing operations, communication, marketing, paperwork, and all the details that keep things moving.

While Addison is often the primary point of contact for clients, TIU has always been a team effort. Jessica is part of the conversations, the planning, and the work that happens behind every transaction. She believes the best businesses are built on relationships, attention to detail, and genuinely caring about the people you’re serving.

Jessica also homeschools the couple’s three children, which has taught her plenty about managing a full life, keeping perspective, and finding sight alignment in the middle of the everyday. She brings that same perspective to real estate, helping clients keep sight of what matters most as they navigate major decisions.

Outside of work and homeschooling, Jessica enjoys spending time with Addison and their three kids. Their favorite adventures include boating on the rivers and playing in the sand along the Crystal Coast. In her quiet time, she enjoys a good murder mystery and crocheting — her hidden talent.
